The humimeter BP1 wood pellets moisture meter is a powerful moisture tester for the determination of water content of all standard wood pellets as well as special pellets. Schaller GmbH is developer and producer of this pellets moisture meter suitable for industrial applications.
To increase the measuring accuracy and reproducibility, the measurement is hectolitre compensated by a precise weighing of the sample quantity. For that the wood pellets moisture meter is delivered with a scale and measuring cup, which ensures that the bulk density doesn´t affect the measuring result.
The whole moisture meter series is calibrated and checked according to the calibratable kiln-drying method CEN/TS14961:2005.
Simultaneously, the wood pellets moisture meter also measures the sample temperature and includes it in the calculation of the water content. The temperature range goes from 0 °C to 40 °C and can be set to °C or °F as required. |

The calibrated measuring range of our humimeter BP1 wood pellets moisture meter goes from 3% to 20% water content (depending on the product).
A further feature of the humimeter BP1 wood pellets moisture meter is the optionally available USB interface. This interface enables the connection of the device to a PC. Via the delivered LogMemorizer software the measuring values can be read off the device, addition information can be added, and the data can be archived, exported and processed. At the push of a button the measured water content, the sample temperature and additional information as well as special device data can be released at the interface and processed by other PC programmes.
As an accessory for this wood pellets moisture meter, we offer a portable and handy thermo printer. With this printer the saved data can be printed without a PC directly on site. The printouts can be handed out as a receipt for the suppliers.
Handling / measuring procedure
To guarantee precise measuring values in the long run, after switching on the humimeter BP1 wood pellets moisture meter automatically effects a self-calibration. After that, the corresponding calibration curve can be selected.
Subsequently, the measuring chamber of the wood pellets moisture meter is filled with the corresponding quantity of material. To determine the exact quantity the humimeter device is delivered with a balance and measuring cup.
The water content can immediately be read off the large, well-lit display of the humimeter BP1 wood pellets moisture meter and saved via the integrated datalog if required
