This category holds two kinds of instrument that answer two different questions. A portable meter answers "what are the conditions here, now" - it is carried from place to place, shows the reading on its own display and stores it in a logger. A fixed transmitter answers "what are the conditions in this process all the time" - it is mounted permanently and passes the value on to a controller, a data logger or the plant network, with no one present.
The humimeter RH1 has its sensor built into the housing and is ready to work straight out of the case. It measures relative and absolute air humidity, temperature and the dew point, and the equilibrium moisture content of wood. It is the simpler choice wherever that set of values is enough.
The humimeter RH2 is a base device to which a probe is chosen: an air probe, a precise insertion probe for measuring inside material, an infrared probe for surface temperature without contact, or the water activity chamber. The socket is common to all of them, so one housing covers several tasks - and the measuring range follows from the probe, not from the meter. The RH2 additionally calculates the equilibrium moisture of synthetic granulates and the water activity value.
The LF-TD series covers permanent installations, from a room at +60 °C to a high-temperature kiln at +180 °C. All the models share the same electronics housing and the same way of mounting; what separates them is the length and material of the sensor tube, the permitted temperature of the measured medium and the interface through which the result leaves - 4-20 mA, Ethernet or Profinet. The series page carries a table that runs through all nine variants side by side, which is the quickest way to arrive at the right article number.
Every humimeter meter in this category logs its readings. The LogMemorizer software reads that log on a PC, keeps an archive and allows the measurements to be exported for further processing - which is what turns a series of readings into documentation of the climate in a hall, a warehouse or a store room.
The fixed transmitters are a different case: they report continuously, so there is nothing to download from them. Their readings are shown live, and stored, by HumiSenseWare - a separate program for exactly that job.
