HumiSenseWare - software for on-line humimeter transmitters

Live readout and logging from on-line transmitters

HumiSenseWare is PC software that shows in real time what the continuously working humimeter transmitters are measuring. The readings go into a database, all the values are visible at once in a table, and humidity and temperature are drawn on a chart whose scale can be changed freely. The program handles air humidity transmitters, the analysing unit for wood chips and the sensors for the on-line measurement of paper, board and panels.

What the program shows and what can be done with it

  • Relative humidity or water content, temperature and dew point - which quantities appear depends on the connected sensor.
  • All the measured values at once in a table, updated continuously.
  • Humidity and temperature on a chart with a freely adjustable scale, with the run analysed inside the program.
  • Export of the live data to Microsoft Excel or to the clipboard.
  • A search for sensors on the network, so a further transmitter is added without typing addresses by hand.

How the program looks

Main screen: the list of connected sensors on the left, the current readings in the table, and below them the chart of humidity and temperature on a scale set by the user.

Database view: the stored measurement series from which a report or an Excel export is built. Data logging is enabled by a separate licence option - art. no. 14712 with the LF-TD and art. no. 14734 with the humimeter BLO.

Which devices it works with

The licence belongs to a device family; it is not bought once for everything. Below are the article numbers from the manufacturer catalogue together with the conditions that have to be met.

How many sensors one licence covers

The standard licence allows up to three Schaller Messtechnik sensors to be connected. Every further set of three sensors is a separate item, art. no. 14713. It is worth counting the sensors when the installation is being planned, because the number of licences follows from their number, not from the number of workstations.

Menu languages and the way it is licensed

The menu and the dialogue windows are available in German and English. The licence belongs to a computer and carries no subscription fee - it is bought once, either with the device or later.

Passing the data to a higher-level system

If the readings are to reach not only the screen but also a controller or a plant system, two communication plug-ins serve that purpose: ModbusTCP and TCP-ASCII. With the MF-P-HTD and MF-S-HTD sensors they correspond to items 14717 and 14718, and where an interface for a specific customer system is needed, the manufacturer prices that integration individually (art. no. 14719).

HumiSenseWare or LogMemorizer

Both programs come from the same manufacturer and do two different things. LogMemorizer serves the handheld humimeter meters: it collects over USB or Bluetooth the measurements stored in their loggers, assigns them to a customer or a supplier and makes a report out of them. The data appears on the computer after the measurement, because it first has to be downloaded from the meter.

HumiSenseWare serves the transmitters that work continuously and shows their readings as they come, without anything being downloaded from the device. That is a difference in application, not in class: LogMemorizer documents measurements taken by hand, HumiSenseWare supervises a process that is running.

A handheld meter and an on-line transmitter often stand side by side in one works, so both programs can run in parallel - they do not replace one another.
