The humimeter RH2 is a precise thermo-hygrometer with a data logger and interchangeable probes. It measures air humidity and temperature, the dew point and the absolute humidity, and with the right probe also the equilibrium moisture of wood and of synthetic granulates as well as water activity (aw).
It is used in laboratories, in the control of room climate and in environmental studies. In most branches the constant monitoring of the hall climate translates directly into the repeatability of production - the RH2 serves both for a spot measurement and for long-term logging.
The meter alone does not take a measurement. The RH2 is sold as a base device (art. no. 12005) to which a probe suited to the task is chosen. The socket is common to all of them, so one housing handles an air probe, an insertion probe for material, a pyrometer and the water activity chamber - and the measuring range for humidity and temperature follows from the probe chosen, not from the meter itself.

The 13700 chamber turns the RH2 into a portable water activity meter for food.
For water activity there is a second option in the price list: the aluminium measuring cell of 25 ml, art. no. 14500, supplied with a clip-on humidity and temperature probe on a 2 m cable, 8 PP plastic inserts of 25 ml, the calibration ampoule set 10005, the factory calibration certificate 10403 and the case 13624. The 13700 chamber takes jars of 186 and 245 ml, so it suits larger samples; the 14500 cell works with 25 ml portions.

The probe is not part of the delivery - it is chosen from the list above and ordered separately.
A measurement consists of placing the meter, or the connected probe, at the place under examination and waiting for the reading to settle. The device shows the relative and absolute humidity, the temperature and the dew point at the same time.
The logger makes it possible to leave the device in place for longer and record how the conditions run - a way of documenting the climate of a hall or a warehouse, not merely of checking the state at one moment. The data is transferred to a computer with a USB module and the LogMemorizer software.
The humimeter RH2 needs a separate probe, but it offers the choice: an air probe, the precise LF_TB 120 insertion probe (also with a tube of the length ordered), a pyrometer or the water activity chamber. It additionally calculates the equilibrium moisture of granulates and the aw value.
The humimeter RH1 has its sensor built into the housing and is ready to work at once - the simpler choice where a measurement of air and of the equilibrium moisture of wood is enough.
