Moisture of screed, concrete and building materials

The humimeter GF2 is a professional moisture meter for construction. The base unit is placed against the surface and after a few seconds reads the water content of screed, concrete, plasterboard or brick - without drilling, chiselling or taking a sample.

With external probes the same meter covers the whole range of measurements needed on site: air humidity and temperature, dew point, the equilibrium moisture content of wood, surface temperature measured without contact and long term logging of the climate in a room.

A fast read on whether the screed is ready

The capacitive measurement reaches 30 mm deep and does not damage the surface, so a whole floor can be checked at a dozen points instead of a single drilled hole. It is the way to find quickly where the screed is still wet and whether a CM measurement is worth doing at all.

The CM method remains the deciding one at handover - the GF2 is for screening and for following the drying between inspections. For the CM measurement itself a set of measuring sleeves (art. no. 13160) with the 8 mm tube sensor (art. no. 13159) can be added, or the sensor with a stainless steel head and a sealing cone (art. no. 15400).

Calibration curves in the base unit

The meter comes with fifteen curves already loaded:

• floor screed, and floor screed converted to CM %
• concrete, special concrete and aerated concrete
• anhydrite screed and special screed
• plasterboard 12.5 mm and 15.0 mm
• light, normal and heavy concrete block
• clinker brick and dressed stone
• a digit curve for materials without a characteristic of their own

External probes extend what the meter covers

The probes are optional - the air humidity and temperature sensor (art. no. 12514) adds room climate and dew point, the non-contact infrared sensor (art. no. 12513) adds surface temperature, and the electronic module art. no. 13141 opens the way to conductivity probes: the hand electrode for wood and plaster (art. no. 12847), the driving electrodes (art. no. 13011), the flat electrodes for screed and expansion joints (art. no. 13012) and the humimeter WLW ram electrode (art. no. 12630) for wood in deeper layers.

Every probe can be bought later - the meter recognises it once it is connected.
