Automatic whole grain moisture measurement together with hectolitre weight

The humimeter FSA is a fully automatic whole grain moisture meter. The sample is poured into the chamber without grinding, weighing or any preparation, and within seconds the device gives the water content, the hectolitre weight in kg/hl and the sample temperature, and prints a ticket with the result.

It is made for intake points, grain stores, farms, trade, the food and feed industries and seed growing - everywhere the moisture decides the price and whether a batch can be stored safely.

Cereals and seeds with factory curves

The device arrives with ready-made curves for:

A curve of your own for an unusual product

If the material has no factory curve, the manufacturer creates one in the laboratory from a sample you send in (art. no. 11217). A finished curve can also be loaded into the device (art. no. 12297), and an existing one adjusted from your own comparative measurements (art. no. 14823). The offset function corrects a curve directly on the device.

How a measurement works

The sample is poured into the measuring chamber through the filling aid included in the delivery. The device determines the hectolitre weight itself, measures the sample temperature without contact by infrared and compensates for its effect on the result. It is operated from a large touch screen.

Hectolitre weight and temperature

The hectolitre weight is measured together with the water content, so one pouring of the sample settles both questions. The infrared temperature measurement is contactless and serves the automatic compensation - grain straight from the field and grain from a cold store give comparable results.

Two versions: standard and approved for verification

The manufacturer offers the FSA in two variants. The standard version is art. no. 13000. The version approved for verification is art. no. 13500 - the approval covers maize, rye, triticale, wheat, durum wheat and spring and winter barley. How far that approval applies in a given country we confirm before the order. The device is adjusted against EN ISO 6540 (maize), EN ISO 665 (oilseeds), EN ISO 712 (cereals) and EN ISO 24557 (pulses).
